Hello people,

im doing a rebuild on my own F5M3 tranny, and caught myself in a bad situation: the sleeve for the 1st/2nd gears is completely "shaven", its teeth are almost gone for the 2nd gear. If im not mistaken, all the expenses i had til now changing bearings and syncros would have no efect with the sleeve in such bad conditions.

So, i was checking the prices at some dealers, hub/sleeve would cost me OMG US$250 OMG

Is there any chance i could find that part with some guy/local shop anywhere that would sell only that kind of used part (in better conditions than mine, off course)? Or have any of you guys already made some kind of "repair" in your sleeve?

Best regards :dsm: ers,

Michel,
Try giving the guys at TRE a call. They have supploed every tranny rebuild I've ever done and have loose paarts like that everywhere. Good Luck. PM me if they can't help you, I might be able to find one in all my junk too, but it will take me a few days to find it if I have one.
