16G Turbo on 2G stock manifold

Does a 16G or any other mitsubishi turbo align with the stock exhaust manifold? I guess if i knew if the 1G dsm's have the same exhaust mani as the 2Gs i wouldnt have to ask this hehe.

Yes the 1G and 2G manifolds are the same except the 2G is a better cast manifold with less cracking and better flow unlike the 1G.

also to make a 16g turbo work on the 2G you'll need the upgrade kit or at least the J-pipe since the 14b-16g ect. since the bolt to the intercooler pipe different than our lil ole T25's do.

Unless you take the dowel pin out. Then you can clock the 16G (my future plan) and cease the need for that dreaded J-pipe.



Then, of couse, you would need to make other considerations as well.
