alright, i have 2g gsx, with a ebay turbo t3t4 installed, that i just dropped in this summer and has been ran less than 100 miles sense then(project car)... before it started snowing the car was running great, finally it started getting cold about 2 months ago. 2 months ago it had a real bad hesitation pretty much untill boost. after it went through a coolant cycle or two the hesitation slowly faded. now its reaching 0 deg. and today i went out to move the car for the plow guy and, now, as soon as i push on the gas it starts to pop and/or backfire quite rapidly. a guy that was helping me with the project took out honey combs from the mas to lean it out. told me lean is fast.. could this cold of weather be causing the car to run to lean and thus cause poping/backfiring like that? also, i dont know if this could help diagnose the problem, but my alt. went and is being rebuilt right now so im running straight from the battery... thanks a lot ,
Bill

NEVER remove ANY of the honeycombs in a 2G MAS. They flow well enough stock that you don't need to, and if you pull any out, the car will start to f**k up horribly, and your tune will go to hell. Had someone put a rod through the side of his block because he was enough of an idiot to pull out THREE of the four honeycombs. He then made the situation worse by leaning out his SAFC to -15%, running incredibly, stupidly lean. Got so hot and knocked/detonated so badly that it just twisted the piston off the rod.

Again. NEVER PULL ANY OF THE HONEYCOMBS OUT OF A 2G MAS! :beatentodeath:
