I have a Gen 1 DSM All Wheel Drive Turbo Eagle Talon. Everything was fine with the car this morning, but after running a few errands I got back into the car, fired it up, and all of a sudden I am only producing boost from -7 to 0 and there is a loud exhaust leak sound coming from the area just underneath the heatshield. I believe this is the header or exhaust manifold area. can anyone provide any insight. Whenever I am on throttle it sounds like a car that has a bad muffler. Any help or insight would be great.

Remove the heatshield and inspect, its common for 1g manilfolds to crack. Try and read up on the site faq you'll learn a lot:thumb:

Also check to make sure none of your turbo-manifold bolts have not backed out. There should be 3 bolts and one stud/nut, sometimes 4 bolts. Check for presence of all studs/nuts holding manifold to head also. Do this on a COLD motor! If nothing obvious or tell-tale black, sooty marks at location of leak then start car with heat shield still off and listen and feel for a leak. Don't burn yourself, it heats up real fast. Let us know what you find.
