Hey everyone it's about that time, I've gotten all my parts together and ready to do my turbo swap. Although the only key part I have yet to purchase are the fuel injectors and I need some opinions, here is what the swap will consist of.

FP Big T28 and Walbrow 190 fuel pump. I have DSMlink in and ready to go, but now my question is what size injectors do I need? Should I get a set of 550cc or 650cc? I plan on running the turbo no more than 20lbs of boost and wondering if the 550cc will be enough.

Thanks.:dsm:

I would (and did) go right to 660's. you have the ability to control them and you
will have some room to grow into a larger turbo.

IMO, if you have DSMLink then 850s should be the minimum injectors purchased.

With DSMLink you can make just about any injector idle/cruise like a set of stockers. Best to have too much fuel available than not enough, and when you upgrade to the next turbo you will have the room to grow. The price difference between a set of 550s and 850s is only $11.

the only thing i've heard about going to too big of an injector is that it's hard to control and tune them at a lower rpm? Is that true?

Please keep in mind, if you're using a Walbro 190 you've only got enough pump for about 660cc injectors at 100% duty cycle @ ~25psi. This is assuming the pump is rewired. If you go with a larger turbo and have larger injectors and end up needing more than 660ccs of fuel, you might be on the ragged edge of your pump.
