hey guy i was wondering if anybody have tein basic coilover with 17inch wheels. if anybody does can you tell me how much finger gap is there and if you guys could post pics that would be awesome. on my talon I have 17inch wheels with 45profile.

One other thing you need to think about when adjusting those coilovers it the desired ride height in terms of performance. While a massive drop can look really cool a drop of more then 1.75 to 2 inches can reduce the performance of your car. You see, shock and struts have an arm that travels up and down in the cylinder and if you have a drop of more then 2 inches that arm doesn't have any room to travel. This can causes massive problems. Trust me, I have been there and you don't what that. According to MACH V a drop of 1.6 inches is preferable. I have found be about right. Tein is a great brand, just don't drop too low. Have fun.

I think a 1.2" drop looks best. My car sagged quite a bit after my drop. Before my drop, I could put a pack of smokes between the wheel and the fender with room to spare, now, laying the smokes flat, they wont fit.

Thats with a skunk 2 setup which is supposed to be a 2 inch drop. I think its a tad too low but should be fine on the drag strip.

This post should be in the Appearance section.

That tells us nothing. We could assume that the overall diameter of the tire is stock, which would be a 225/45R on 17inch rims. But for all we know you are running 245/45R17 which would 3/4" larger diameter, thus closing the gap another 3/8".

NTM, Tein Basics are ride height adjustable.

We cannot answer this question for you.

thanks alot guys for your replies that helps and for the pics that really helps me. the cars in your guys pics look awesome i actually just bought tein super streets w/o pillowball mount and a performance technique rear swaybar from sportcompact only. I don't think they sagged beyond the specified 2 inch drop they advertised. Looks just like 2 inches to me.
The reason I think you think they sagged is that 2 inches is too low to begin with.
Just something to think about.

They have sagged thats for sure. They are lower then that now.

I plan on going with a tien fully adjustable setup in a couple months if all goes well. This is a just for now setup.
