Help with my transmission

I have a 1994 eagle talon es n/t with a manual transmission. I don't really know if there's a problem with my tranny, but on 2nd gear the max mph the car will get is about 55mph at 7,000 rpm, and on third about 85mph at 6,500 to 7,000 rpm. In first gear the car will go to about 35+mph with ease. Is this normal for my transmission, or is the problem the engine? Thanks for any help.

Um not sure about n/t but I know my 95 Tsi does around
30mph in 1st
60mph in 2nd
90mph in 3rd
120mph in 4th
dunno 5th but I suspect 155pmh all these speeds are @7k.
I know you could figure out exact speeds by doing a little math with gear ratios.
