If I drop in a new engine, what else do I need?

I'm giving thought to buying a stage II Longblock from SBR sometime within the next few years, and it got me to thinking about what all else I'd need when it came time to do it.

I believe I'd need the following for sure:

Intake/Exhaust manifold
Valve Cover
Fuel Injectors
Fuel Rail

Beyond that though, I'm not entirely sure. Would I need to replace all the sensors that are normally on the engine, or are those typically included with longblocks? Also what about my transmission? I'd be going from a 7 to a 6 bolt. Would that require a new clutch or a new Tranny all together?

Like I said, I'm kinda throwing this idea around right now. I just want to know what I'd be getting myself into. In the time it takes me to get the money to do it, I might have a lot more experience at that point, and feel comfortable rebuilding the engine myself.

Thanks.

Yeah, I planned on going synthetic once I did got around to a new engine.

Would I be better off going with a short block and a head vs the Long block? It looks like it might actually save some cash doing it that way (likely because I'd be doing a lot of the labor myself) One question I have about that though, is if I go that route vs the longblock, does a normal rebuilt head come with valves, retainers, and rocker arms, or would those have to be purchase seperately?

--edit--

Err uh...nevermind about the springs and retainers question. I must have missed it (some how) when I was browsing through SBR's stuff. They're included.

I guess it just boils down to which is the better upgrade. The longblock comes with new items such as timing belt, water pump, cam shafts, ect, while I'd likely have to purchase and install all that seperately.
