So I have read about the conversion you can do to the 4g63 the involves the transltor and a late model GM MAF.
I want to know what kinda performance gain you get out of doing this and is it worth the $300. for the kit. This is also asked with a full intake/turbo-back exhuast/and port-polish done. So what gains will I get. If it's somewhere over the 10hp mark then let me know.

Your are asking about turbo parts, but you listed a 98 N/T as your car. So no I don't think the GM MAF will do you any good. It allows for more air flow, but without a turbo you won't be moving that much air. I don't know the exact numbers but with the intake, exhaust, and porting you should see well over 10hp gain.

Now if you are turbo, you still won't need the GM MAF until you get much higher in HP. The stock 2g MAS can handle up around 500hp (don't quote me on that). And again yes you will see more than a 10hp gain with the intake/exhaust.

ok So I didn't ask about if this mod helps my non-turbo. I asume that people would understand me asking for the turbo. I have more then one car a the n/t is my show car. :thumb:

So the mod will get how much more hp. you said more then 10 but not the real amount, and I would figure that the 2g MAS would be more restrictive no matter what is done and should be an important mod if you'd like more air flow.
Well, Another thing I guess if people want vent to the air instead.

Well the main advantage is that it is non restrictive. I have seen more people use the MAF-T for a tuning tool for bigger injectors then use it to get higher HP.
