Hello;
I am a newbie here, however I have been designing and building steet cars for nearly 25 years; mostly Corvettes and Oldsmobiles.
This seems to be the only place I can post.
Below is a link which is just a quick photochop rendering of a design I am considering for my wife.
I would sincerely appreciate constructive criticism from the esteemed members of this community.
Thanks for your time.

I voted no, simply based on the fact the color is not my cup of tea but otherwise I have always been a fan of the veilside kit. IF you are designing a cars looks you will get mixed answers but looks are all personal preference. If you like it who cares what others think, your not doing it for them.

When you get that veilside kit, pm me if you want to sell the side skirts. I am trying to convert my 95-96 body to a 97-99.

It's also very ugly and hideous. The front end looks sort of like a ferrari... Keep it stock looking and just lower it and give it a nice looking coat of paint.

that front bumper is by far one of the ugliest made for the eclipse. keep the stock bumper and throw a nice carbon fiber lip on it

:notgood:

It's your car, do with it as you want to do. Most of us at dsmtuners dont like body mods or even non OEM colors.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with everyone else on this. It doesn't look good.

Generally speaking smoothing the lines out is the best theme to go for. Shave the door handles and spoiler. Maybe go with a more blueish color. Lower it some. Subtlety is a good thing.

I'll have to agree with everyone as well. This is definately not what i would consider a nicely done eclipse. Although you of course are entitled to your own opinion. I just don't see how someone would want to change the front bumper cover that is stock. I think stock one is as nice as they come. I would say lower it a little, give it a nice paint job(can't say i like that color, but if girly is what your looking for then why not) and just keep it looking clean. The best dsm's out there i think are very simple and look super clean! Maybe spend a little extra money you would save from that body kit and some some nice engine work or interior features or something.

I voted no because i to like the oem look. However i would bet all the money that i had, if you show this to other guys that like body kits and what not that they would love it. Its creative and the color is fine, but to most dsmers its a little much.

The front end looks deecent, might look better if you straightened the front middle piece on the bumper. The color is very girly, which is fine if its for your wife, but the side skirts don't look like they belong on that car. Maybe if they were custom molded or something they would look more natural. I actually like the rear end with the dual exhaust setup as well. As far as the other mods, If it were me, I wouldn't give my wife a 400+hp car LOL

Good luck:thumb:

He asked for contructive criticism(sp?) as well, not innapropriate comments:toobad:

I voted no also. Like everyone else, I am partial to the oem body style... The color is not too bad , the wing....I could go either way on. At least it is not a 12" tall thing that you could use as a coat rack.

Most girls will do nothing, but destroy a body kit and very quickly. That car looks as if it was on pimp my ride. I would just lower it keep it stock since a stock bumper has alot more give that a fiberglass bodykit. I've seen some pink cars that don't look bad, but that is a bit much. Rims will get curbed and are gonna make that car slow as well. Maybe look into the 99 Gsx wheels. I wouldn't stay much from stock. Like a said girls will curb and bend rims quick and bodykit will be cracked.
