ok, heres what i did, i have a 94 eclipse that had a 1.8 NT auto trans and that motor blew, so i just swapped a 2.0 NT manual trans into it. i swapped the ecu and the front half of the wire harness (from the ecu to the engive bay) everything is plugged in and it turns over and almost starts but it just wont crank up..
-should i swap the dash harness as well?
-i know your supposed to "trick" the car into thinkin its in park, but everything i read, the wire harness was never swapped. the harness i put in doesnt have a plug that i have to "trick" because the harness is meant for mannual trans.
im not getting spark so my thought is the car doesnt know its in neutral, \
is there a neutral safety switch somewhere that i need to mess with or am i supposed to plug something in to the clutch pedal?
is the harness in my car the same for a manual and auto?
any help would be appreciated, this is my daily driver and i just lost my job because of this! thanks,
cody
