Tomorow i will start my engine with my new turbo setup. The Turbo is a Garrett 60-1 stage 3, .63 exh. I spend $685 last summer for this turbo only, For me that means a lot of money and i want some tips before starting the engine. I want this turbo to last as much as possible.

Ive head to lubricate it before turning the engine on, another friend of mine told me to start the engine a few seconds without the park plug wires to get all the line filled with oil

I really want some real suggestions

thanks

Yeah, pull your spark plug wires off the sprak plugs and disable your fuel by unpluging the fuel pump. By doing this you will not start the turbo with no oil which is bad, and by unpluging the fuel pump you prevent flooding your engine with gas. Then let your motor crank over in burst of 10-15 seconds letting a break of about 10 seconds inbetween to prevent over heating the starter. Do this a few times to build oil pressure and to get oil to the turbo. Make sure all the fliuds are good, oil, coolant, etc... Then plug everything back up and crank it up, let it idle for a few minutes and double check all your lines to make sure nothing is leaking or you have low fliuds, then give it for a spin round the block. Check for leaks again and fliud levels are fine then your good to go.
