:dsm: Hellow fellow DSM'ers i was wondering , what brand of swaybars should i go with ?
I have FWD 98gst , should i use the back swaybar only or front, or both . And what kind of brands you guys are familiar with and recommendations please :) :thumb:

Well I have been talking some guys I know that race in the NASA circut and they say to use both. For one simple reason really. The rear they say is always good and the fact all you have to do is disconnect one side of either sway bar to render them un usable is a plus. I have not checked out the Suspension Techinques yet. I was just going by the ones a few guys had told me they used with good results.

If you are looking to stiffin up your car as I am, I was looking into the Tanabe Lower braces for our 2g's as well. Really easy and quick to put on to help stiffin up the chassis. I am definetly getting this mod for mine. Here is a good write up and review of the install.

It really depends on what you're going for. I only installed a rear one, and a front lower brace. Our cars, both FWD and AWD tend towards understeer. Tightening up the rear end helps to balance that out a bit. With my current setup (stock front everything but bushings and a lower brace, and stiffer shocks in the rear, bushings, and a RRE sway bar) I can get my tail end loose on corners. Granted, a FWD won't do that quite so easily without power to those wheels, but it will help. I WANTED that effect, so that's what I did. If you don't want as much understeer, you could just put on the rear swaybar.

If you do go that route, send an email to RRE about having a swaybar made ($180)
OR: buy the RM swaybars, only install the rear, and sell me the front :D The RRE rear is beefy enough I could still put on the RM front and have my desired feel.

Also, that front lower brace is at RRE:

Good luck.

Didn't know anyone else on here has the RRE rear swaybar. :thumb: It's 3 way adjustable too, but even on the softest setting the rear end can get quite loose if you lift throttle mid-corner and you'll spin if you don't know what you're doing. If you have to ask what swaybar to get, I'd stay away from an RRE rear bar and stock front. Get the RM set and run both or just the rear so you don't kill yourself. :dsm:

Good, run just the rear and sell me the front... ;) I can't seem to find anybody who will sell just the front... They do it for the 1g, but not the 2g. Bastards... Have fun. Happy DSMing. :thumb:

Hmm..usually it's easier to find just the front one for sale as many only use the RM rear bar from the set. I have a friend who's car came with only the rear RM installed and he still has the RM front in box. LMK if you can't find one elsewhere.
