fuel level gauge broken

So my fuel level gauge is broken and I was wondering how many miles should I drive it between fill-ups so don't get stranded... I only drive city...no highway...150...200? Thanks

Im surprised your light doesnt come on when youre low. Or have you driven it that low to ever check?

well it just stopped working about 3 days ago...in a perfect world i would have it fixed but im broke... far as mpg i never est before so i dont know... ill be driving pretty easy for now until i get a 2nd car... does the low fuel light work independantly from the gauge? Thanks

my fuel gauge on my 95 tsi is also broke an yes the light works, i just go buy that or fill up about every 220 miles

ha must be common with dsms, mine is broke too, its just stuck at 3/4. the temp gauge next to the fuel level is also stuck in the same spot so i'm guessing my problem is just wiring, i havent gone around to looking at it but i'm gonna try to find the problem tomorrow when i hook up my new guages incase i cant fix it does anyone know how much it would be to take it to a shop to fix my problem?
