new thermostat

ok so my car kept overheating, i took it to the shop to see what was wrong. Now they said over the phone it was a thermostat problem, they replaced the thermostat and thermo gasket. Now theyre telling me i owe them 175 dollars?does this sound right at all? please let me know!

$10 in parts and maybe an hour of labor max = maybe $75 if that. You got hosed

What did you tell them when you took it in? Did you hire them to change thermostats, or did you "have an overheating problem"? How many hours of diagnosis did they go through? It should all be marked on the invoice.
