Whats the difference between green or black top cas

I'm buying a cas from a local dsmer in my town and he has a green and black top cas for sale for the same price just wondering what's the difference between the green and black top cas my car is a 1992 so i'm not sure if there for a ceratain model year or not just needing some info.

The black top is referred to as a Hall effect sensor. Here's a thread that may explain why these are desirable:

Thank's man he's selling both for $40 each so i'll pick up the black top one just one last question is there anything i have to do to use the black top like changing wires or is it a complete swap in the car currently has a green top in it.
