Installing B&M shifter, got a problem?

Everything was going fine, til the screw wont go into the top of the blue thing, the inside of the blue thing has a weird thread inside, am i doing something wrong?

the threads look the same to me. Did you try using both ends of the thing your holding? Could be a reverse thread , try to screw it in counterclockwise !

i have the same shifter on my car...and it wasnt hard at all to install, so youre probably just trying too hard . i cant remember specifically, but does the blue piece have threads for it to screw into? didnt it come with instructions?

Well, go ahead and remove the shifter cable attached to the shifter lever. Pull out the lever its self and thread in the stud(bolt with threads on both sides). Place the teflon seal on the lever side then, slide(with a little bit of grease) into the blue piece that is attached to the stock shifter part. Then put a teflon seal(washer - same as the other one) on the stud and the install the nut. Then put the shifter cable on and double check all the connections and you should be gtg.

So, to answer your other question, Yes it does slide into the blue piece. Anymore questions don't be afraid to ask.

Yes, it slides through the blue part and screws into the shifter arm. From the pics, it looks like those are bearings in the end of the blue part. Don't forget the nylon washers.

yea i got it, all i had to do is use a mallet to get the screw in. i thought it was suppose to go in easy.

It IS supposed to go in easy. Thats the part that the shifter will be pivoting on. It should freely rotate.
