Not sure if this is normal or not, but normal driving the boost guage is fine. When compared to the stock one it about 2-3 psi off. Stock guage reads boost and the autometer one does not. Its just a little off. Either way, going full throttle or partial throttle and then letting off slowly the needle bounces up and down when going back in to vacum. needle kinda shakes. It does settle down after a second or so.

Is this a boost leak problem or something else?

Also, after putting in a 3" cat back with hight flow cat, and the new ported 14b and manifold/O2 housing the A/F guage read lean unitll I go full throttle. It doesnt bounce back and forth anymore at normal driving like it use too. Just sits in lean till I go WOT.

Any suggestions? I did put a new grounding wire on the exhaut right before the rear oxygen sensor. Both oxygen sensors are new.

What type of air/fuel gauge do you have? If it is one of those blinky light Autometer ones, don't trust it at all. They are extremely inacurate. Even if that gauge says that you are rich you could be extremely lean.

As far as the boost gauge problem, it sounds like it could be a vacuum leak. I would double check to line to make sure that there are no problems with it. Also, if anyway possible go ahead an run a boost leak test just to make sure that the motor is not stumbling when you are getting off the throttle due to a boost leak. That happened to me and caused the same problem (besides the needle shacking) but it would jump up and down as the motor was trying to adjust for the boost leak.

Yea, I know they are worthless. But I got it before I knew that and since its in the car I wanted it to atleast work right. It was working before, just wanted to get it to working properly again.

I'll check vacum line again. I should be removing all the emissions stuff tonight along with the vacum lines going to the throttle body, so that should eliminate any vacum leaks. I will then run a boost leak test afterwards.
