Well this is under the dash of my 92 gst and has been there ever since I have had the car, never really bothered me but I was wondering what the point of it was? It looks like a power supply to the motherboard, I counted 22 (what I believe to be) female pins. There is a good number of wires it is soldered into so I figured it was something important.

I havnt traced them down, but whoever did it did not do a professional job. The guy befoe me seemed to have alot of switches in here that did not do anything.

That is an alarm system..Those wires are from the control unit, it the main power harness and the 2 things you seen were the kill switch and the valet button... if your worried about it affecting nething, then dont because its not..

Thanks, so do they do anything or has the alarm been taken out? I am stupid when it comes to alarms, pretty neat though I guess.

No its completly usless now..you can just leave it up there if you please, it wont hurt anything, oryou can cut it out just be VERY carefull because some of those wire are hot..make sure you cap off all the wire you cut...and your welcome..:thumb:

I would test the wires and find out which one's are hot with a test light if you want to get rid of it. I would just leave it how it is. Although if you buy a car with an alarm like me and it goes off and you don't have the key fob to shut it off, you will wish you did disconnect it.

^^^^^^x2 on checking the wires, but as far as it going off..you dont have to worry about that since theres no main control box, the alarm doesnt exsist..
