Throttle Position Only goes to 97%

I had my logger plugged in and was looking at my throttle position...When I floor it, it only goes 97%, and there is nothing blocking the pedal such as a floor mat or anything... Why is this, and should I fix it?:dsm:
 
DISCLAMER: I dont know a lot about this, but,,
their are two bolts on the back of the intake that hold down the throttle linkage cable, and if you loosen the bolts you can adjust the cable back and forth to get full throttle, this might be something to help
it could just be a calibration issue with the ecu or something maybe,

He is right to some extent. You need to check and make sure your throttle cable is adjusted properly but it sounds more like you may need to adjust your TPS sensor to get the correct value. As syclone said check your throttle cable first and if this doesnt work then you need to adjust your TPS sensor. Check here or on vfaq.com to find out how to do this. Keep us posted. Travis
 
I vote TPS as well. Here's a clip straight from the RRE article on swapping a 1G TB in a 2G:

Closed TP Switch and TP Sensor Adjustment [2G]

1. Disconnect the connector of the TPS.
2. Connect ohm meter between terminals 3 and 4.
3. Insert a feeler gauge with thickness 0.45mm (.0177 in.) between the throttle stop and the throttle lever. [Fold a piece of paper in half 4 times if you don't have the feeler -Ed.]
4. Loosen the TPS mounting bolts. Turn the TPS all the way counterclockwise.
5. Check for continuity in this condition.
6. Slowly turn the TPS clockwise until the point where continuity and non-continuity is found (pins 3 and 4).
7. Tighten the TPS mounting bolts.
8. Check the voltage between pins 2 and 4 of the TPS with the ignition switch on, but the engine not started.
9. Standard value: 400 - 1000 mV
10. Remove the feeler gauge.

You can check the throttle cable by using a broomstick to floor the pedal (with the motor off of course) and feel the cable for any slack. If there's slack loosen the top 2 bolts on the back of the throttle bracket and remove any play. Doing so with the throttle plate closed isn't accurate since it's WOT you care about. You can also pull the throttle body elbow from the upper intercooler pipe and manually check to see if the throttle plate opens all the way.

I thought it was 95% as well. But in either case you are above that. I had the same problem with my car. I adjusted the throttle cable and the TPS sensor and it still did it. The throttle would never be a consistent number and would range from 85-94%ish. It ended up being the cruise control box that was sticking in the end. Switched to a 1G non cruise cable and that ended all problems.
