will this work for my HP goals???

im looking at getting an Apexi N1 catback and downpipe, i want to get this set b/c it will only cost me about 400$ for both .. i want to get around 400-450 hp out of my car.. just wondering this exhaust would flow enough for that.


edit: i know that i need all the other suporting mods to reach my goal but im just getting things one at a time.

That is a 3", and will flow plenty for 450hp.

i know it says 3" but from what ive read its not a full 3" and it necks down in a few places.

Also, alot of exhaust systems taper down to 2.5" were they connect up to the DP, if that is the case then take it to a local exhaust shop and have a 3" peice welded in. I have a Thermal Research & Devolopment Exhaust and it is a 3" system, however it tappered down to 2.5" for some dumb reason so a 3" peice was welded in were the 2.5" peice was cut out. Flows enough for 450+

one more question about the exhaust.. when you eliminate the cat it there alot of carbon the comes out of the exhaust vs. running a cat.

Carbon=running rich (i believe) fix it with tuning.

n1 necks down to under 2 inches in the resonator, but people still put down 400 hp on them

I have a full 3" exhaust, without the cat. It spit some carbon out, but it was because I was running extremely rich.

it really goes under 2"... i though that would be bad
