I was wondering if the eagle rods in a stroker would be enough cause i with a decent turbo (60-1) you could be hitting the limits of those real quick or am i mistakin. my point is they are like 300-400 dollars more for crowers, manely ibeam etc... and this would be a daily driver so i was think just spend the extra money on them for a little bit of insurance?

You really didn't give that much information. You did say that you r car will be a daily driver. But, you didn't meantion how much horsepower you were looking for. Eagle makes great rods, as do the other companies that you mentioned. You need to decide what your goals are for your car, and go from there. Once you have gotten that down, then you can decide what rod and piston combination you want to go with.

In my opinion, you should use eagle rods if you are planning on going past 500 to 600 Hundred Horses. That doesn't mean that they can't handle more power than that, but I just go past that.

Hope that helps

Eagle rods have been proven for well over 600whp. It's gonna take a lot to get to 600whp with a 60-1 if your DD but can be done and the rods will be fine. It's mainly the torque that ruins them.

with the stroker setup i was looking at making 600awhp on pump/methinjection. my question is the longer stroker puts more stress on the rods due to rod angles being greater and was wondering if the eagles would hold up to the that abuse daily, oh i was probobly going to go with something a little bigger than a 60-1, maybe gt35r or gt40r(i think ams still spooled a gt40 by 4200rpm which is still good) maybe an s300(now im getting a little crazy LOL) this of course is no where in the near future has i have to build it slowly(im not rich ya know) but im the kind of guy who likes to research everything before i jump into a project.

If your going to be putting a load on the rods I would get the Manley I-beams. I deal with Kyle at Manley and they are rated to 1000hp. But that is givin on stock terms. NO STROKING. Your getting into a lot more torque that this point. I was a stroker til I noted the hassel and problems that come with it. Im not against it, its actually pretty cool. But the cost that i would be shoving out for axles and such would be money for my tranny at a high end shift. Eagle rods are very good. In fact I have a threand going about Eagle or manley. They used to be rated the same. Now Eagle is saying 900 hp on there Rods. Manley is talking 600. But remember that your cutting that rating by putting the stroker on them. I am leaning more towards eagle because I can get them so far below Price. Only because I work with Eagle and Manley. Are you going to be launching at Spool for your setup? that will make or Breat the Rod in about 500 miles..........................
