Hello guys :( bad news, today I was a victim of a hit and run. I was in school, coming back I see that my entire front right bumper side+fender is scratched/dented... including my headlight.
Just my luck? I just bought DSMLink and injectors, was planning to upgrade turbo... grrr.
Anyways, to the problem. I had to get it home, so i did. Was dying on itself. Once I got home and took off bumper, I found out why, intercooler pipe was kinked. I replaced the intercooler pipe, and the car is still messed up, the minute the turbo kicks in, the car just dies on itself once i let off the gas.
So i get to the 0 vac mark, once i let off the gas, the car dies. Car actually seems to idle quiet stedy, until I give it gas, then once i let off idle falls drastically either to a sputter or dies.

No damage of any sort looks to be done to the engine+components, mostly body stuff.. turbine looks fine, everything under the hood looks as it should.
Do you guys have any ideas? Leak tested my system, no leaks, holds 10 psi. Tested FMIC independently since it got a bit crunched, no leaks(thank god).

Any help would be great guys.:dsm:
Police officer said something about an impact switch? Do these cars have an impact switch? If so, do I have to reset this?

yea they have impact switches, but they would have deployed the airbags, did the airbags deploy?

No the air bags didn't deploy.
The car seems like it's trying to build boost with an a coupler completely taken off, when actually there isn't, if that analogy isn't clear.

Not from what I can tell, only thing that got banged in is the platform that holds the OEM airbox, which moved the air filter up a little. That seems to be the only damage under the hood. The car runs ok until it gets above 0 vac.

It proabably took your innercooler out.It might not look like it but it does not take a large hole to have this happen.

Took FMIC off, capped off one end, and used a bike pump to get it to 10 psi, then my cap blew off. Some fins are bent, but it seems to be holding.

Go through and inspect all the vacuum lines visually. If you see any disconnected, reconnect them. If you do not know where they go, post up a picture and we'll help you. Then, do a boost leak test. Even if a coupler looks fine visually, it could be leaking so much that your car is dying.

This is what I love about these cars.... their mysterious way of randomly fixing themselves... it was only some body damage, was the car just mad at me??:coy:
This is so freaken weird... 2 days ago I couldnt even press on the gas without it dying on itself afterwords.
Today I get her up to 6000, turbo spools and everything, idle falls to 1000....
I'll keep you guys informed...

Edit: Except one thing, I hear a faint mechanical grinding/whirling noise right after car starts(which i never heard before), is that the starter? It goes away like a second after ignition.
