Oil leak

I noticed a bit of oil leaking out of the end of my transfer case around the u joint on the drive shaft. The only reason I noticed it is because of my exhaust being so large and the oil dripping on to it.

Am i right in thinking there is a common cause for this and maybe a recall of some sorts? If not what could it be and how easy is it to fix?

It could just be a leaky seal.

Thats most likley the pinion seal.

Pinion seal is in the rear end. The seal on the end of the t-case is a common place for a leak.

My mistake i was thinking the leak was at your diff.
