Well my new motor I purchased is leaking oil from the head gasket. I had a shop look at it and also run some dye through it so I know its not the feed line and what not. Thanks kar king for the crapy motor and not sticking to a warranty. Now I need to know what head gasket to use to replace it. I don't want this to happen again. As this is my only vehicle. Iv been reading and had some people make sugestions locally. Would it be best to go cometic, sce, mls oem. Also would I need to have the shop check the bore before ordering? Im plan on getting arp head studs to hold it down. I dont plan on boosting it no more than 10 for now as I dont have the funds to keep fixing crap and need this car to make it through college. So fill me with input on head gaskets. Thanks

Go to the dealer and get one, they have a special one that the garuntee up to like 800 hp for only like 100 bucks i think it is, its round that price anyway.

I had to fix my car in a hurry on no money and put a Pro Topline on it. It's working just fine, but I'm not going to go past 16psi of boost to find out what happens. Anything the guys have already said will be fine for a daily driver that won't be taking any punishment.

Surely KarKing's resurfacing(if at all) doesnt meet the requirments for a MLS gasket. I'd stick with arp's and a stock composite gasket as it has held well for me and a lot of folks on this board. IMO there's no place for a copper gasket on a daily driver unless you like it wet.:)

Whatever you decide on get the decks inspected first as the gasket usually isn't at fault.

Very true. I personally like the mitsu mls and copper spray, with arps. Never had a problem with them. or cometic as I have on on my car now.

So are you saying that with my motor that I purchased. That theres about 50/50 chance that it was even machined to where I would not have problems?
