Toronto,
The clutch would start squeaking after 20 mins of driving. This happened for a good 2/3 months. Letting it cool down would stop the squeek but it would come back again after 15 mins or so.

Fast forward to Monday my gf drove the car and it wouldn't get into gear. She let it sit for like an hour and it worked again. Now, when the car engages ONLY in first it makes a really bad scrapping noise, until the car is in motion and clutch fully engaged. I noticed the clutch pedal travel has changed as well, almost half of what it used to be. Car drives perfect in other gears, no shaking no noise perfect.

I suspect slave cylinder. My master doesn't seem to be leaking and the fluid level remains the same. Can someone help confirm this?

Why would it only squeel in first gear.

So I'm under the car and noticed something... I can see a 1/4 of my flywheel clearly right beside the oil pan!!!

Ok, I'm no car expert, but this is WRONG RIGHT?? What part do I have to look for to get this thing covered up. Do I have to drop the bell housing to do this?

Thanks guys
