what to do with boost control solenoid after new mbc?

I installed my dual stage turbo xs MBC the other day and i hooked it up off turbo compressor to wastegate. I t works great, but i am getting a check engine light. Is this because i completely disconnected my boost solenoid. I would just hook it up and check, but i read on another forum while this one was down i didn't need it and now i can't find it.

What is the code for? This will obvioulsy tell you the most about your situation.
Get a logger or head to autozone to pull the code.

The BCS will only throw a code if it is entirely disconnected. Pulling out the two vacuum hoses will be just fine, but make sure the wire harness is still plugged into the unit.

Yes plug it back in. Just let it sit inside the engine bay plugged in. The 1gs can be removed without a CEL

As it has already been said, just plug the old BCS in and leave it alone. If the code is still on after you plug it back in, disconnect your battery for at least 5 minutes. You should be all set.

No. Not anything detrimental. Just the annoying light.



Of course, if anything else "goes wrong" while you have the BCS disconnected, then you may not realize it.
