Good Comression on 3 cylinders and Really bad on 1

Alright so i just put my new e316g on and i havent gotten a change to mess with my fuel so i just turn the boost as low as it will go...but it still goes up to like 18. so i just barely press the gas so i dont build very much boost. But i wasnt paying attention an it went to 18 and fuel cut and then i got smoke...not blue. And this is the comression from left/right is 160-165-155-0. What do you guys think. Sorry for the long story...thought there might be clues in how it happened

Sounds like a blown Head gasket to me.. Double check by doing a leak down test so you can pinpoint exactly what your leaking from odds are its the HG..

I had a similar case and I ended up having bent valves... but definitely do the leak down first.

yeah i'm kinda hoping its only a bent valve. alright ill do a leak down test. or just pull the head off...ill have to do that either way

With one cylinder being "0", I highly doubt a leak-down test will prove anything worthwhile (good experience though), but agree that it's probably going to be a bent valve or HG.

Personally I would rather it be the headgasket so I could change it and get it going again in a few hours instead of having a shop reseat the valve and take a week to get it back to me... but that's just me.

With 0 compression on one cylinder and the rest pretty good, I put my money on a burnt valve or piston.

Just my .02 I had the same problem and when I pulled the head there was a hole in the piston. Now I am putting in a nother motor. Hope yours turns out better

well i finally started to take some stuff out to the car....took off my exhaust mani and there is oil in the runners for cylinder 1...and something else must have came out bc it screwed up my brand new turbo that has about 100 miles on it. Their are little knicks in the blades. 500 down the drain.
