hi,

I have a 93 eagle talon TSI, i just finished putting in my DIS2, but it wont start, it starts with the by pass key in. It will start with the DIS8912 module disconnected and runs good except i am not registering RPMS on my AFC2 or my TACH. with the DIS8912 connected there is no fault code and the engine will turn over and the rpm will register 300rpms on the TACH which i figured are just the engine rotating to start but it just cranks with no kick off. The only other electrics i have added are the AFC2, and a MAFT but the rpms for that are off the cas. is there anyone that has experienced this or might know what the problem is. "oh and i am running the stock coil."

well i put a GM weatherpack connector on the wire at the transister pack and ran a wire to my msd tach terminal so now my tach works and my afc works until the car warms up so now i have to take the afc2 RPM wire off the harness to the computer and put it on the wire that i ran to my msd. my car is a 93 so i am sure it will work on the 92-93 cars so a msd tach adapter won't have to be purchased, I did buy one but it was defective and i can't find my recipt to send it back for a new one. So lesson learned keep better control over recipts. For 1G owners this will save you $50-$60 so you don't have to buy a msd adapter, it is a little bit of a pain but if it saves me money in the long run and i can still convert the car back to stock easily i am fine with a little extra work. "this is like the white wire mod that has been posted on the forum somewhere, i couldn't find it but i had a wiring diagram."
