2g Evo316g Records....

Are you looking for a no nitrous full weight record or just any record with a 2g and a Evo 3?

I personally know Ben Stoner, and I'm pretty sure the car's gone quicker with another driver in it. Driver was the 1g Big 16g record holder who's also from Indiana.

1g's are untouchable. I looked at his mods, he has a well put together car. I'm just tryin to see if these times are accurate. 11.745 doesen't seem right for a evo316g, Their has to be better times out their, even for the fat 2g..

2g with any power adders. but I'm open to whatever you got in that memory of yours..

Thanks... Scott:dsm:

Thats what I was going to say, my mechanics dsmlinked 2.4 fully built only ran a 11.2. Bad driving because his buddy ran a 11.1 with less traction and less boost. But that is up in the Rocky Mountain air. I bet his car is a mid 10sec at sea level. Any 11 in a 16g is just crazy. Im hoping for high 12's out here.

I wonder how much "quicker" either of the two times would have been if they removed the internal WG and added an external WG to the exhaust manifold. I did find this thread where Kevin and Nathan are discussing this very option I am bringing up. Jake has also swapped out his internal WG for an external WG here.

EDIT: Three other links that may pertain to what I am introducing:

It's still not caught the 1g big 16g record though, 11.39 @ 115.60mph Big16g & SMIC 2.25 in/out. Josh Forbing

Ben's car actually went 11.69 at 119 mph with Josh driving at this year's shootout, right after putting down 339.9 awhp and 346 tq on Buschur's awd dyno.

He ran a 11.6 with only 339whp. Thats crazy.

Josh is one hell of a driver. The Indy guys refer to it as the "Josh Mod". Need another .3 off your time? It's time for the Josh Mod.

He'll have his car back out next year. www.indystarsmotorsports.com

11.69@119 is infact very good.. I would love to see the break down of that time slip..

Has anyone ran faster on nitrous?

Here's Ben's 11.8, can't find the 11.69 slip anywhere.

R/T---- 60 Foot --330 Foot --1/8 Mile --1/8 MPH --1000 FT --1/4 Mile --1/4 MPH
0.587 --1.692 ---4.903 ------7.571 ----90.430 ----9.892 -----11.810 ---117.630

Thanks for posting the info Kyle. The day I ran the 11.81 it was hot and the car was down on power a little. I have ran 118mph in the car I just cant drive to save my ass.

The "Josh Mod" is the only way to go. He drove my car twice down the strip and on the third pass ran 11.70 and on the fourth he ran the 11.69, slip below. The rear diff mounts were getting weak and he didnt want to be the one to break it so he stopped with that pass. The mounts let go a few months later and the diff is getting replaced with an LSD for next year, but so is the turbo.:thumb:

I absolutely loved the E16g and would recommend it to anyone who wants a hard hitting turbo with great street turbo. Also I was running an O2 mounted Tial 38mm and comparing my car with ShapesGSX it doesnt make much of a difference over a factory flapper and rerouted O2 housing. I had the larger flapper with a dump O2 and it was blowing the flapper open badly, thus the switch to the Tial.

Is this dyno and drag run on pump gas or race gas? Also you hit a good amount of torque in this run, what kind of timing are you seeing?

I don't supose you have the dsmlink log from that run? I would very much like to look at it. That 0-60, that done on street tires & without power adders? Thats pretty amazing..

3150 race weight? weight reduction? If so, what was shaved?

All the 11 second runs are done on C-16. I dont run a lot of timing, around 22-23 total advance. I have run a best of 12.39 at 113mph with pumpgas but I didnt really go after a good number on pump, I think it had more in it. Tires are Khumo Ecsta MX and spin pretty badly on a launch. I am not sure what you mean by power adders? No nitrous if thats what you mean.

I wasnt logging while Josh was driving. The 11.81 run is posted somewhere on the link forums or I can email it to you if you need me to, just pm me your email address.

3150 was actually before I put the cage in, the last time I pulled it on the scales with me in it the weight was right at 3200 lbs.

I have pulled some stuff out but its not hacked up. No AC, CC, Light weight Battery, No backseat, no spare or tools. Lighter race seats, no sound deadening, lighter wheels but then you have to add the 150lbs of 8 piont roll bar.:D

I plan on doing more to reduce weight this winter but I am running out of things to pull out.

That's still one hell of a run Ben. This is proof positive that giving a damn about being off the compressor map is pretty much worthless. If you can still move air, you're making torque and that'll get you down the track.

Way to represent Hoosier,

Andy
