1g rear differential

My Talon was built in aug. 1989, was severly neglected it when I purchased it, and is a 5sp with an open rear diff. Is this normal, or did somebody take the lsd that I thought was supposed to be there?

A LSD was an option. The car may or may not have come with it. (if you have an orange sticker in your drivers side door jamb then the car came with a LSD).

If you have ABS it definitely did not come with a LSD.

I do not have abs(thank God), but I must have a performance limited dsm from the factory. Need 4-bolt shortly after clutch up grade.
