turbo not spinning?

so a friend of mine has a 16g laying around and I was spinning because I was bored, when I first started spinning it, it was relativley easy but the more I spun it the more resistance it had, eventually it would barely spin unless you put some force into it. is this normal for a turbo that hasn't been installed in a while, when oil and water run through it will it spin easily again? thanks

so your saying you noticed it geting harder to spin but you kept spining it till it wouldnt move anymore ? i would try to put some oil in it and see if that helps if not id say you need a rebuild kit

it'll still spin but it gets caught up before it makes a full turn

Should be good only way to tell is through her on. May be a little dirty from sitting.
