OK, I bought an E-prom ECU of somone on DSMTalk.com, had the DSMlink chip profesionally installed, and when I plug in the ECU and turn on the ignition key all I get is all kinds of crazy ticking sounds. I plug my old ECU in an engine runs fine.
anybody know anyone who repairs ECU's?

Did you ever check the ECU for damage to the capacitors?

I actually had the exact same problem happen to me. I recieved an Eprom ECU from a friend for free in unknown condition. I bought DSMLink, had the caps replaced, and had everything installed by a professional. After re-installing the ECU into my car, I also heard a ticking noise, and the car would not start.

Long story short, I sent the ECU to ECM Tuning (creators' of DSMLink) and they were able to repair it for me. The price was fair in my opinion too. Give them a try.

thanks for the reply, I've checked the ECU over really good and cant see any visible damage or leaking capacitors. gues I'll get some more info on who toy mentioned and send it to them.

thanks again
