Hey guys, I have a 90 TSi AWD (stock) and when ever I get the car up to about 3k there is a horrible buzzing sounds like its from the exhaust it lasts up to about 4.5k then fades away it does while im revving it while idling and when driving. Any ideas on whats causing this?

P.S- I already removed one heatshield but that didnt help.

Im pretty sure its the exhaust hitting something. check all the rubber hangers and make sure they are in good shape. They can get brittle and stretch after a while. Just look to see if its hitting somewhere and make it so it dont.

Ok Ill check that I know when I was under my car taking the heatshield of it does sway a little bit, but the rubber on the hangers dosent look dry.

I put a new downpipe on it but it was stock and it was doing it before I put the new one on.

I'll check that out, I live in a house with two women so its very easy trying to find out these problems they wont lay on the ground and I dont trust them revving it up. LOL
