How do I take 1g Fog lights out?

There are 3 bolts that hold a mounting bracket at the base. They are either 12 or 14mm. It will probably be easiest to remove them with the bumper off, but I don't believe it's necessary. You also may want to take off the ducting to the side mount intercooler, but again it may not be necessary. It's all inhow much monkeying around you want to do. Pretty easy job though, just be sure to use penetrant on the bolts first.

Also, don't forget to disconnect the fog-light wiring harnesses.

*edit* As always I get beaten to the punch. :)

I feel the same way you do bun, and wow my car looks identical to yours and seeing pics with the fogs in makes me want to put mine back on.

Only problem, one of my bulbs died and all I have to say is have fun getting that bracket off the back of the lens WITHOUT STRIPPING THOSE SCREWS TO HELL.

I was patient, removed mine off the car, and for a week straight I shot pb blaster onto the screws in the morning. The time came to reef on them and get that bracket off.... :toobad: I decimated the heads on those screws. Anybody ever have any luck with these things?

LOL I must be lucky because I went to the junkyard last weekend and pulled the fogs and brackets and almost stripped one screw, but didn't. Now I realized my fog light switch is dead and one of the fogs doesn't work. I got the fogs off the brackets, but does anyone know how to replace the bulbs on these? They look like you have to undo where it connets to the positive and negative side and unclip it and unscrew tiny screws and stuff. I tried searching with no luck.

It's actually sold as a unit, plastic and light together. Ebay for some "893 fog" i think.

The picture is an H4, but that bid is for an 893. Yellow looks sweeet on a white car :D.

That's what 893 looks like, different auction though. Again, I'm just guessing it's this, not 100% sure.

Thanks man. Yea I know that I have to replace the bulbs, but is there any special trick to taking them out or do I just need to go for it?

Also If your switch will just not stay on I don't know if that is your problem but if it is there is a page on vfaq to fix it go to electrical then goe to the bottom and check fog light switch repair. I just got a differnt one though.

Look at them pics. You don't have to weld a new bulb on. It's a whole "bulb assembly" thing.

Wait... I think those bulbs are for 1gb's. I'm not sure if they use the same kind.
