Ok I have a 4G63 2g head comming my way and the guy says theres a few problems with the lifters. Well I have plans to rebuild the thing. So where do I start? What would you do for a complete head rebuild?

Paint. I already painted 2 heads for a V8. But I want to be more better this time. I will paint the head red. I only used two coates of orange before. So can you help me to get that really shiney look? With the V8 I degreased it, washed it down. Painted. Came out good. But it wasnt shiny. So any help? Oh yeah the heads on the V8 I wanted to be red so I bought Dupli Color Chevy Red...it turned out orange.. Engine enamel I used ofcourse. What color code on the cap is actually red?

another question. i cant post in bolt on tech.

Lets say I buy the evo 16g turbo and put it on a GSX. DO I need to upgrade the intake? If not, is there a better one to get anyway?

Lifters, valves, cams probably arent necessary but if you have the money might as well get aftermarket ones now..valve stem steals, springs, caps...I think I got all of it. Just take it to a machine shop and have them resurface it and clean it up, bring them all the parts. It cost me 140 to have it checked out, resurfaced and cleaned, and for new valve seals to be put in. Cant really help on the paint...maybe just polishing everything?

First off with the head, completly disassymble it, send it to a machine shop, have it checked for flatness, and cracks. Then start buying new valves, seats, retainers, springs, steam seals, guides and clips, and new revised lifters. If you don't have access to a valve seat tool, either find a knowledgable friend and a friday night, or have the machine shop do it for you.
As far as paint, take a look at my engine.

I first used a pressure washer with hot water and degreaser and blasted it for about 2 hours, in about 15-20 min intervals. Next, i used a wire brush, wire wheel on a drill, and about 3 cans of brake cleaner to remove all old paint and residue the pressure washer left behind. Used an air chuck to dry. Next i went to Napa and got a pint of Onyx Black single stage acrylic enamel and some reducer. Reduced to 4:1, sprayed about 4 coats on until well blended, uniform color. This pic is right after we sprayed it, about 30 mins of dry time on the infrared heater. I used a razor blade to cut the tops off the letters before the paint fully cured. The pic is before i buffed it, its really shiny now. The high heat paint is the same thing as acrylic enamel, just don't spray it on exhaust manifolds. Use ceramic paint for that;) . If you have any q's pm me i will do the best to help you out.
