So, I'm gonna be installing my brand spankin new SBR G50 this weekend. I've read thru the writeup here on DSMtuners on how to do, just making sure there wasn't anythign special I might need. It says to use a 14x1.5x10 bolt to block off the hole in the block for the coolant. Well, the smallest I can find is a 14x1.5x40. Where did you guys get your bolt, and is it possible that I could use a longer bolt?

Cant you just tie them into each other??
thats how i did it -
I used around 1" of a break line (easy to get from any autoparts (they have metric)) and put a hose on it to connect to the other coolant line that needs to be blocked.

Exactly. Just loop the lines back to each other and you won't have a problem. If you need a picture I can always run out and take one.

Good luck with the install,

Andy

yeah why not just cut the bolt? that seems like an easy solution, I buy my fasteners from an industrial supply store aswell.. and when I get a certain size (m6, m8, ect) I always just get long ones cause I have to buy 50 at a time, then I just cut as needed, file it around the edges a bit and quickly chase the threads on the end.. always works fine.
