hi guys..i am planing to buy a maf translator ,do you guys think that it can add more power to my car? pls help... what are the most power adder for may car..thanks..

Spend it on a downpipe, boost controller, fuel pump. You can add alot more power then a translator since you still need your basic mods

MAF-T is actually a good first mod. One of the first. Helps with gas milage and tuning as you add stuff. Will give basic mods there full potential when installed.

I disagree, not to mention there are tones of people running big numbers with the stock 2g mas. MAFT as first mod, in most cases, is done to allow venting of the BOV.

The maft was one of the first mods I did to my 1g. It is a good mod but requires a logger to get the full potential. You can tun with it but with out a logger your car will most likely run worse. You will need more then the maft and 3 in maft though. You will need a hard uicp and the ability to cut it for the maf if you want to vent. It will also aid you in the addition of bigger injectors(after you get a pump and AFPR.) Good mod though.

GM maf is not a good first mod at all. without a logger your car will run like crap.

Just throwing this out there for some answers's. If your looking to get away from a mas setup and don't got the cash to get a map based capable stand alone why not go with a used vpc? They are about the same price and have a temp sensor.

Does anyone run a vpc with a DSM LINK? I wonder how that would compare to the gm maf/DSM LINK setup?

I was told different by a post I had corrected by Steve who said it is a good mod over the 1g MAF. I did it on my 1g and it gave me 3-4 MPG and the car felt a lot stronger. Didn't use it for venting just as a more accurate reading.
