Alright, Ill make this short. My car is throwing code 43 which is the EGR sensor. This code is for Californian cars only. I read in my manual that the 2.0l and 2.0l turbos share the same egr sensor, so I went to the junkyard and picked one up.
I removed the EGR valve in my car and was surprised to find it greatly different than the valve I had bought. I was under the impression that the california cars were supposed to have a temperature sensor that routed into an EGR selenoid?
Im really confused right now and I dont know what to do. My EGR valve has a bunch of gunk clogged up in it, so would it be worth it to clean it up and try it again? Does my car have a non-california egr valve?

The valve I pulled from a 2.0 cali car. Notice the sensor attached.
