I am in the midst of a horrible boost leak and found 2 leaks, the first one at the tb elbow to the tb. So i fixed that one and pressure tested it again. This time i found out the the tps sensor had a crazy leak as well. I did a search on the p 1400 code that i recieved during all of this mayhem and found mdp sensor. Is that the same thing as the tps or no...The tps is the on the tb right? Would a boost leak throw a code? Should i replace the sensor or try jb weld first?

MAP sensor is under the intake manifold. I had this code on my 95 GST and had to replace the sensor. Fix the boost leak at the TPS first then replace the MAP sensor if needed.

what would be the right way to fix the tps...jb weld? silicone? replace it with a new one?

Replace it with a new one. But you could try RTV first to see if it will seal around it.

if you get a smim wouldnt that be unplugged anyway. Then what would you do in that case getting rid of the cel
