how can i get/build a stroker 4g63 for a 2g?

i got a 2g gst 5spd and i want 2 re-build with all new internals but nothing crazy like 500+ im lookin around 350 375 to the wheels anyone wanna tl me who has experince whats the best way 2 do this and b somewhat reliable

If thats all your looking for than I would go with a stock longblock 2.0. It can handle that all day, but if you where to take the car a little further, maybe some forged pistons and rods and your good to go. I wouldnt want a tire turning torque monstor 2.4 stroker in a FWD. But a high revving 2.0L beast.

They are not cheap... especially if your goal is only 350whp. Bad $$ to horsepower ratio. I would stick with what youve got... get all the supporting mods then decide if you still want a stroker.

they are tourquey and make good power very easily. expensive though.

ok so a stroker is torqe based and i dnt need it 4 350 area will the 4g63 hold it reliable? if not what should i rebuild with?

Is there an issue with your current motor that makes you want to rebuild or are you rebuilding because you think you have to? I'd run a hot compression test on the motor and see what comes up. If the rings and bottom end are healthy, I'd simply add bolt ons to reach those power levels instead of investing in new internals. Besides a stroker on an FWD car simply induces more wheelspin since the torque is substantially higher. It can be done, but I'd rather use a larger turbo that spooled a bit later with a softer compressor map to keep wheelspin at bay (i.e. a 60-1)

The stock longblock in our cars can handle 350whp all day long, no problem. With a good tune of course.
