I want to know the fuel needs of a 2.4l dohc 46g4 motor with a 18g turbo at 15 psi. Not very good at using conversion calculators so help would be greatly needed. Thanx for your time in advance. pump? injectors?

What kind of EMS are you going to use? Also why only 15psi on an 18g?

maf gen 2 w/ wideband and only 15 because its a 7 bolt and na engine that has a stock 4g64 crank, 2g turbo pistons and the rods are the same as the 2g 4g63. Don't want to really push it because I don't know what it's able to hold boost wise.

So your going to be tuning with just the maf-t. They are not that good at tuning, most people use a safc to tune along with the maf-t. Im guessing with a good tune you should beable to handle up to 20psi, since you have lower compression pistons.

With the larger crank you just dont want to rev to high from what ive been told. If you are not going to go with dsm link you really cant tune anything bigger than 650's unless you have a burned eprom for anything larger. Now if you go with dsmlink I would get 1000cc injectors so you will never have to upgrade.

For the fuel pump I would say a 255, or supra tt pump(quiet) and a fuel pressure regulator to control it.

gm maf gen2 is compairable to an safc because you can adjust fuel in 12 points and has correction in + or - 64 %

I know exactly what it is. The SAFC2 has adjustments at every 200rpm making it way better. People have lots of problems tuning with them. Expecially since the GM maf does not have an intake temp sensor. In climates that have rapid temp. change can be a pain in the ass and you will find yourself retuning everyday. You cant tune anything bigger than 650 injectors without timing pull if thats all your going to use, if you want bigger you need an eprom burned for the injectors.

Why not get a wideband and try out the wideband tracking that the gen 2 offers and see if it'll really change the afr as your driving to what you set it at.

That's the plan but what do you buys think about a fuel setup to support these mods and boost levels

The SAFC2 does not have adjustments every 200 rpms, it has 16 user adjustable correction points. If you set them at 200 RPM increments you might make it to 4200 RPMs. The Gm maf does have an intake air temperature sensor.

I'm just trying to clarify this, you have a 7 bolt 4g64 with 2g 7 bolt rods and 2g 7 bolt turbo pistons? That should be capable of handling the same amount of power as any other 7 bolt. The pistons in the N/A engines are the weak link, if you put turbo pistons in you are good to go.

I would get a Walbro 255hp, an adjustable FPR, and some 650 injectors. If you have an eprom get some larger injectors and a chip or Dsmlink.

Thank you!! You have told me what I needed to know. To all the others thanx as well.
