Ok i just got my car back from the body shop, the car was fine before i took it there. But now it runs weird, when i start to boost..the car stalls around 3-3.5rpms and will not pull or boost anymore, making me shift to go further..its funny because it makes a weird noise when it does this, i hear like an air whistling sound. Like i said it didnt run like this before but now i got it back and it runs like this. I inspected all the couplers/clamps in my ic piping..and there's a clamp missing from the uicp to the smic..i think i might have a boost leak there. Also i inspected the turbo oil feed line and it is crushed..so that needs to be replaced. Could this be a boost leak? or an effect of a crushed oil feed line that needs to be replaced? Any help is appreciated..please help!

I definitly would get that oil feed line fixed ASAP. do you have a aftermarket boost gauge? is it making boost? how about a CEL? If you make boost (on an aftermarket gauge) then it sounds like your mass air sensor is bad. Mine went out and i never got a CEL. I would suggest fixing all the missing clamps and the oil feed. make sure there is no boost leak. if there is still a problem and no CEL. Check into a mass air sensor.

Yeah, make sure all of your intercooler pipes are properly installed and tight, any clamps missing must be replaced right away. If possible do a boost leak test to pinpoint and hard to spot leaks.

Also replace that oil line pronto, since it sould hurt your oil feed.

Let us know how it worked out for you.

If all possible? Boost leak test to a turbo car is as important as an oil change and should be done on a regular bases, like every two oil change.

clipse-T,

1. Did you compare before and after speedo readings? Joy ride?

2. It can very well be boost leaks and you need to perform a boost leak test, visual inspection is not only unreliable, it can be mis-leading.

3. Lack of oil supply to the CHRA can also be the cause of your problem, replace the oil feed line as well as check the turbo for free spin and shaft play.

the car does have an mass air flow sensor code..yes the CEL IS on...is this my problem?
