clutch problem

I have a 95 talon and I have a problem with my clutch pedal. It is good while I am in 1st and 2nd gear but when I start hitting boost in 3rd gear the clutch pedal sinks to the floor and I have to pull it back up by hand. I already replaced the slave cylinder, bled the lines, and I dont have any leaks. The other night I took it out and ran it hard in 3rd gear I started smelling burning clutch. If anyone knows what might be wrong please help me out.

How is the engagement? Is it normal (like half-way through the pedal swing), or is it engaging right off the floor? Does the pedal happen to stick down during left-hand turns?

Did you check your master cylinder for leaks? If your slave is bad than your master is probably bad.

The engagement is about half way througth the swing and no it is fine when i take left turns. The master cylinder has no leaks. I replaced the slave cylinder hoping it would fix it but it is the same.

Check to make sure your tranny bolts are tight against the engine and the tranny isn't moving away from it under high load.
