Just wanted to throw this out for input from, everyone. I have a T3/T4 that I am putting in my car and was wondering about using steel line for plumbing the oil feed line. I know that the stock turbos use steel line but was wondering about the use of it on a T3/T4. And also to what size line. I was thinking 5/16 or 3/8. Thanks to all for advice. Travis:dsm:

Travis,

You say you are trying to attempt to run a t3/t4 however there are alot of variances out there. Whether it be BB or 360 thrust will change the fitting that you will have going into the center section. I would recommend a stainless steel line. Something like this shown here;

Those are also the fittings you would need for a 360 thrust center section. Also, if you are going to upgrade the turbo and line I would recommend pulling it from the oil filter housing. This will give you clean oil for your turbo. So, if you know a little bit more about the turbo you are switching to let us know and we will be able to help you out a little more. :thumb:

Thanks John.Sorry I didnt give more info on the beginning. It is a 360 thrust style that takes a 1/8 NPT fitting in the top of the turbo and I was thinking of running a hard stainless line from the filter housing to the turbo but am not sure what size line to buy. I was thinking 5/16 hard line. Travis

If you don't mind me asking why do you want to go with a hard line? In my opinion that is going to be VERY hard to work with. Especially if you want to pull it from the oil filter housing. You are going to have atleast 24" of hard line to work with. If you want to save yourself a headache I recommend the pliable SS line. However, to each their own. Good luck! :thumb:

I build fuel lines and brake lines all the time and I just figured it would hold up alot better than anything else. I have a tubing bender and flaring tools so making the line is a piece of cake.As to my original ? what size line. Travis
