After that you can wait for it to ship to you, install it, and call it a day. Looking at your mod list, you would have to install your Apexi boost controller if you decided to stick with the Dejon product you bought. If you didn't install the BC, then you would experience very high boost levels (well into the 20psi range) because your hose is not properly connected. What would happen next? Bye bye T-25. Not that that would be a bad thing, but a working turbo is better than a busted one :)

Why would he send it back if he already has one. Makes no sense. As long as you have the recirc. tube that is all you really need. If it has the other nipples on the side facing the firewall then it's better but not needed. But like I said as long as you can recirculate it you are fine.

Maybe it's a personal preference, but I wouldn't want hoses unconnected, dangling in the wind or taking the hoses completely out when they are supposed to be attached. And what is he supposed to use as a catch can? An open air filter right off the valve cover? After a few months he will notice that his engine bay is dirter than usual because the hose is not connected.

I am sure you can send it back and have Dejon Tool send you one with all of the connections if you really want it. You may have to pay the difference but I think it is only like $30 extra. They give you the option of which connections you want.

Honestly, the only tube/bung you need on your intake pipe is the one to recirculate your BOV. The three smaller hoses connected to your stock intake pipe (the valve cover vent hose, charcoal canister hose, and BCS hose) all can be left unplugged without affecting your car's driveability. As long as you have the tube to recirculate the BOV, your set.

Almost forgot... If you do decide to go with the pipe you have, you will need to attach either a filter or a catch can on your valve cover vent tube (on the left side of you valve cover).

Wow, $150? Not too long ago I did a review/writeup on the EBAY knockoff. It was installed on my Uncle's car. It was around $60 with an extra filter adapter included for when you get another DSM.

So if your recommending that, but there are people on a budget there is a good alternative.

As for the dejon pipe, I was in a similar situation. I bought the 3.5" intake pipe a while back, with just the recirc. tube. That is the most important one, unless you are running standalone/gm-maf/blow-thru/etc. So now you will have 3 other smaller nipple I believe? The charcoal canister, valve cover, and bcs. The BCS is simple, get a MBC or make one, that nipple is no longer needed. The charcoal canister, its just fumes, and smog/carb. If you have a 95/96, it seems to be under the battery tray. Smog refs will not remove all that just to see its disconnected. Obviously dont run the long hose where its obvious. Hell I just removed the hose from there altogether. Now you have left is the Valve Cover. I left it vented for quite sometime. After some reading here, it seems like the optimum setup is to recirculate it. It does have some vacuum. Recirculating it gave me 1hg. whooptie doo. If your afraid of the blowby, get some cheap inline fuel filter.

So what did i do? Obviously I needed to drill a hole in the pipe and install a fitting. I was not about to pay for shipping, pay extra to have them install it, and wait.

It's very easy.. I made a thread on it because no one else made a similar topic until this very one.. so here is my thread, short and simple replies, that should easily allow you to do it..

These nipples must be for 2g only right ?
On my 1g i dont have my bov recirculated and My car runs fine it doesn't shut off or anything, i'm sure my turbo my spool a lil slower or something but the car runs fine and i really didnt see a difference between recirced and not.

It kills your car inbetween shift by shooting in fuel expecting there to be the air from the BOV coming in. So while it doesn't seem like you are doing anything wrong it is hindering your spoolup in the next gear and causing your car to run VERY rich in between shifts. If will catch up with you and then you will have a thread on here wondering why your plugs are fouled or your car is smoking.

If thats what you like to think. But you sir are wrong and many, or should I say "knowledgeble" DSM owners will tell you this as well.

Recirculate.

Of course unless you are running some kind of standalone/blow-thru/gm-maf then disregard my statement, but by your modslist, and the way you said your statement, I strongly rule against that.

Everyone who doesn't have the proper mods to properly vent, please recirculate your BOVs. Your car will appreciate the fact that you're doing things correctly. :)

As for the intake pipe: contact Dejon and see if he will exchange pipes or if you feel brave, you can modify your pipe as RedTurboEclipse sorta mentioned by drilling and tapping a hole and using a threaded barbed fitting to make your own nipples wherever you want them.

thanks for the tips everyone. . .and yeah i know to recirc. is a must, believe me i had a friend that didnt run it like that. .and well lets say his idle wasnt the best sounding. . .beside the point i think am just going to send it back and get holes drilled into it so that the 3 mini-tubes (or so) that fit into the stock pipe neatly. . .i tryed the cathc can deal and it does leave a mess on its self. .and this might be just me but i think i used up a little more gas then normal. . .well thanks again guys.:talon:

real quick guys. . .have any of you guys seen a pipe with all the minis lines running to it? cause now that i think about it. . .i have never seen anyone on this forum with a pic of a intake pipe with mini lines running to it.

I have a Dejon intake pipe with all the nipples for the lines, accept the BCS one is plugged, i dont have a catch can and dont want to run just a breather filter. Best bet like stated earlier is to just drill holes in the intake pipe, thread them and put your own barbed nipples in it and put some JB weld around them to make sure they are selaed right. They can be found at many auto parts stores, home depot/lowes or any plumbing place really. And they only cost about $2 a piece and your time.:thumb:

Both the ExtremePSI intake (which I have) and the Injen intake all have options for all the vacuum hose inlets, in addition to the Dejon pipes and numerous other vendors' pipes.

I have the 2g Dejon intake pipe with all the nipples (uh-huh), but if you don't, I'd first try trading it from Dejon for the pipe with the nipples (might cost you a little more). You say you didn't install it, so it should be like-new. Hopefully they're reasonable about it (I've dealt with them on defective IC pipes, and they were VERY reasonable). Don't go drilling holes in your IP until you've tried this.

If that works, I recommend putting an inline fuel filter on your VC breather line to keep oil vapor out of your intake tract. They're $2 at NAPA for a clear-case filter (so you can see how cruddy it is), and there are many threads on that particular subject for you to read up on for more info.

If you have an aftermarket MBC or EBC, the pipe comes with caps for all of the nipples, so you just leave the BCS nipple (on the bottom of the pipe) capped.

Good luck!
