Well after looking around I found a place to do 2 gear logs in my auto, LOL. Im getting a little more straight forward data this way, I move my hi th point to 80% instead of 50% and got a little better timing, now I think my problems are in the rich/lean areas of my safc. Tell me what you think. Thanks

EDIT: I found that only going 90% throttle gives me waaay better timing, and acceleration, for some reason.....

Timing looks ok, but you should go WOT at 100% not 90%. If you can only go 90% then there is a problem that you need to fix. Also, when you are logging, view your information from the point of where you go WOT (timing will dip from 20+ to <10*, in this log it is at 3961 rpm).

Objective: You want a nice timing curve. Nevermind your crappy factory narrowband o2. When you log, Just log TPS, RPM, and timing.

Your profile says that you are running 24 psi on pump gas on an e316G, correct? In that case, have you dialed your STFT/LTFT in? Make sure they are both cycling around 0 for your correct LO settings. Anyway, that log seems fine. Take it to 7k next time around and post the log back up.

Essentially, go WOT and log the run. If you get dips in your timing curve that means you are running too rich. On pump gas and an SAFC2, I would expect peak timing to be around 19-21* on a healthy tune.

Just an FYI, I tuned on an SAFC/logger combo for 3 years now (Finally moved to DSMLink) and there's only one thing that I wish I had invested in and that is a WIDEBAND o2 gauge. Instead of guessing your timing curve and plugging away endlessly with your SAFC2, get a wideband and dial your WOT fuel to 11:1 on pump and then log. If you're knocking, richen it up a click or two. It's THAT easy. AFR is single handedly the most key unit in aiding you with your SAFC tuning. Of course, don't be confused with 11:1 AFR being the end all be all of AFR's, but it's a good starting point to figuring out where your car wants to be in terms of fuel.

Wow, that was exactly the response I was looking for, thorough, complete advice, thanks a lot :thumb: That log right there was at WOT 100%, well 95.4% on my logger. And also that log was on reduced boost, around 20 psi. Im going to go back to 30/70 th points and fool around with my afr's some more, if no success I will look around for a wideband, if still no success, Ill start looking into water/meth injection, am I on the right track?

also, I went WOT at about 3200 in this log, the boost hits and then it starts loosing timing immediatly.

Adjusted some numbers on the afc and made another log.

The reason why the dip looks late is because Im doing these from 2nd gear rolls in an auto, I cant wot before 3k or itll downshift, and 1st gear gives me crappy readings, and 3rd gear will bring me to about 120 mph before my log is over, LOL. From a stop my 16g will spool by about 3200 rpm. Heres another log I did today and to be honest, it looks acceptable. I went to about 6k but I guess it didnt log it fast enough, anything over that and Im looking at a 300 dollar speeding ticket.....

That log looks great. If you took it past 5800, I'm sure you'll see right around 17-19 degrees of timeA as expected. However, keep in mind that just because you have a good curve, doesn't mean you're making the most out of your power setup. I suggest writing down those logs for reference and keep leaning it out until you DO get a dip in your timing curve. Then richen it up. This way you can lean out the car to the safest point and make the most power.

Oh yea, get a wideband. It helps TREMENDOUSLY.
