I have a 90 Gsx and would like to know if anyone on Dsmtuners have a Slow Boy Racing LSD? Im very interested in buying the Slow Boy Racing LSD but just dont get why its so cheap compared to others. Also Im interested in buying a TRE-spec Center Differential Spool from Slow boy racing. I Just want to get some thoughts about it before buying Thanks Alot .

The sbr lsd is so cheap because its an insert. Its not a true lsd like a quaife or the karking.I have read a few threads and it seems people have had success.I had a phantom grip which is similiar and it shattered and took out my trans with it.I have since bought the karking lsd and its alot better.

Sounds about right. Anyone on here have or had a SBR racing lsd installed in their tranny?

I run them in my car. As stated, they're not a true LSD, but rather they're inserts with a set of springs in between so as to apply pressure against the spider gears to create the LSD effect.

They work great for me and I would recommend them to anyone running up to about 350WHP. However, if your goals are above that, you'd be better served to just save your money and purchase a true LSD such as a Quaffe, KAZZ, or Kar King as previously mentioned.

There's plenty of reviews and threads to be found on the subject.

The car has never been to a 1/8 or 1/4 mile track. It does see about 4-6 autocross days a year. Other than that, it's a sunny weather toy. It does see some abuse when driven, just not anywhere near the abuse it would receive from the 1/4 mile track.
