ok i'm just sticking to a 14b turbo with a sbr fmic kit and a 3" dp w/ apexi n1 catback. do i need a apexi s-afc for this or just leave it alone. reply.

you only need a piggyback computer(ie.safc or dsmlink) when upgrading the injectors since the ecu doesent know the injectors are bigger and will spray them like the stockers and you will run rich. You can run the biggest fuel pump in the world without a piggyback ecu (although you would need a bigger fpr) your fuel pump has nothing to do with a safc, just injectors.

My first upgraded turbo for my car was a 1st gens 14B and i loved it! for the money you cannot beat what the turbo does to a 2nd gen car. i went 14.1 on a 14B, with the same modifications that you have done. The only difference is that i bumped up my fuel pressure a little over stock and it seemed to help out. But NO you do not need to upgrade unjectors at this stage, nore do you need an AFC. The 1st gen cars come with the same size injectors as the 2nd gens so 440's are fine for a 14B. My problem was that i hit fuel cut under a really hard 3rd gear pull, but like i said i think i raised the fuel press like 3 lbs and it was fine for many passes at the track. If you do not have a FPR i would deff say buy the importevolution.com version. Dont waist your money on the B&M one because if you are goin to start doing your fuel system for any bigger fuel pump it wont allow for the pressure to be lowered. Good luck
