That is his question . He wants to swap everything to convert the 2g Gst into a Gsx . I have not read anything about a fwd to awd swap . It may be possible , but seems extremely difficult if possible at all . In reality he just needs to swap the bodies out . Body off of each and swap .

well the 2nd gen gsx is like 7 to 10k in good shape and i have a talon awd already so all i need is the shell for 1500 in perfect shape and i am quessing the labor should be around 2k no more than that so buying a 2nd gen awd is alot more in 97-99 years,but what i wanna know is can you use 1 gen parts it doesnt go in to detail.

You need a donor 2g awd to make a 2g fwd into an awd. You can't use 1g suspension/driveline parts.

And there are a few fwd converted to awd running around but i think it's dumb considering how cheap and how available these cars are. The only fwd to awd swap that i can justify is on a spyder.

The rear drivetrain parts are different from a 1g and 2g so you would need all the parts from a 2g to do the conversion. The 1g parts will not line up under the 2g chassis.

The awd conversion is fairly simple and straight forward if you have all of the parts. I just did it last weekend on a 2g spyder. http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=243024
